Digital Radiography (X-rays)
We have in-house digital radiography (also known as X-rays) and can send the images to a board-certified radiologist when needed. Radiographs use electromagnetic radiation directed towards the body to highlight internal organs or foreign objects. They can detect abnormalities like skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, foreign bodies, and dental disease.
Some radiographs require the patient to remain completely still, so sedation may be necessary. If so, the duration of sedation is usually short and patient recovery is swift.
In-House Laboratory
For quick results, we have an in-house laboratory where we can run a variety of tests. We usually get results within 30 minutes for complete blood counts, general chemistries, electrolytes, and some urine and fecal tests.
While we offer on-site testing, it’s possible your pet may need laboratory work beyond our scope. For those cases, we are happy to send blood work or other testing to an outside lab that will send results back to us.
